  • Escaping 'Ondoy'

Hmmm where do start? As you know in the Philippines there was a Typhoon which swept across the whole of capital of Manila. Many people  including children lost their lives in which a months rain fall came down within 2 weeks.
The badly effected areas has to be the heavily crowed shanty towns which many lost their homes. 540 & counting are dead, and 70,000 families are without homes. It's going to take at least 1 year to relocate all those families to new houses.

It's really sad to see what's happen back home and I just wish things will get back as normal. If you can help even just £1 can make a difference cause all things add up, Please help by donating to the Philippine Red Cross.

  • next destination...

Hopefully sometime next year I'm planning to take my next trip to Seoul South Korea. I've done some research on which is the best time to go & after looking on-line, the best time to go either autumn (September to November) or Spring (April to May). I'm planning to go between April & May but who knows eh... who knows =)

  • aching in pain

as most people would know, last Sunday which has passed, I did the Asics British 10K London Run. Running through central London along the Thames River and ending at White Hall just pass number 10 Downing Street and the Ministry Of Defence.
I must say I wasn't really looking forward to it cause I didn't have enough time to train such a run, but in the end I got through it in the glaring heat of the sun & the paining cramps a long the way. >_< The heat really took the toll on me which I wasn't expected, so with the heat blasting down on me the water stations were just life savers!! Each time I got a bottle of water of mineral water I'd either drink it or best of all pour it all over my head, at the same time taking a clean mineral water shower  ^_^
The next time I enter a run this time I'll train for it no matter what! >_< I'm proud I got myself to finish the run & its the 2nd thing I've achieved this year.....no pain no gain eh!

The walk to the starting line towards Hyde Park Corner.

The long road in Haymarket, 1st time I've seen it car free!

Last of all my medal to add to the rest of my collection.

What's next for me, hopefully the London Marathon next year >_<

  • R.I.P Michael Joseph Jackson 1958 - 2009

Right, I know I'm a bit late to write this but what the hey eh! I must say he has to be the most wonderful entertainers the world have seen. His music is powerful & his dance moves is just breath taking to the eye can see. No one else can ever imitate his moves or produce such ground breaking records. He will be missed by millions, including me.

As a fan from childhood, I manage to purchase a pair of tickets to his July gig which I was so looking forward to >_< So now I'm thinking of getting a refund on one of the tickets and keeping the 2nd ticket as a memorabilia.

May his music live on forever!
